I am so excited to share with you a new genre of photography available to you! We are now offering boudoir sessions! I want you to erase your preconceived ideas of what boudoir photography has to be. We're talking contemporary, romantic, flirty, elegant, classy.. and anything in between! Why do this? Do it for you. Do it so that when you're 70 years old you have photos of yourself looking beautiful and confident. (Don't feel confident? Let us make you feel that way and bring it out!) Do it as a gift for your groom or new hubby. Do it because you worked so hard. Do it to remember this time. Boudoir is for all ages and all sizes. You can make it as intimate as you want, and we will work very hard to make the experience comfortable and safe for you.
As the announcement says at the top of the blog, a boudoir event is in the works for January! Details are to come, but think chic, boutique hotel in Chicago packaged with on site hair & makeup.. 2 photographers (myself and my dear friend and amazing photographer from St. Louis- Sarah Lough). Champagne, snacks, music.. book with your friends and make a girls' day of it in the city! Perfect for Valentine's Day gifts! Details will be available by invitation which will be sent out when details are finalized. If you'd like to receive an invitation send an email to lindsaypowellphotography@yahoo.com!
If you're interested but do not wish to attend the boudoir event, contact me. We will work out a time/place and session that fits your needs!

Last weekend my friend Danielle came to visit from Texas. We were stationed together in Sicily a couple years ago and she was so supportive to me during some hard times! While my husband was in Iraq, Danielle stayed with me during my c-section with Ellie and even cut the cord! I am forever grateful to her (and the others) that helped me during those years. I was so excited to see her after so long!!
Now it's her turn. Her hubby is deployed and she wanted to give him these images as an anniversary gift. She has worked so hard (she has had -three- boys!) and looks amazing, so she also did this for herself. I felt so blessed that I was able to do something for her and I can't wait to hear her hubby's reaction!
Here is a teeny sneak peek for Danielle! Isn't she stunning?
