I'm sure you will remember this lovely family's sneak peek. I always love to work with extended families who all come together for this purpose because it's a meaningful time. It's become somewhat cliche to say that a portrait captures a moment in time, but I suppose there's a reason it's become a popular saying. It's true. We truly need to cherish each day we have with our loved ones as gifts, and document them. Don't wait until you lose weight (my excuse), get braces off, find the perfect outfits, etc. The purpose it to remember that time as it was. Mom's, make sure you have your family photos taken once a year so that you can be -in- the pictures too. I'm guilty of this as well!!
Now on to the rest of this session.. While the fall color was coming to an end, the texture of this field provided enough interest to create a beautiful backdrop. I suggested the grey and purple color combination because it's a great way to do neutral while keeping it a little different than the standard black or white. Grey and purple also pop so well against this field!!
